BlackBerry users may not have the same selection of quality apps available to them as the iPhone but here are three great apps that will keep you connected to your news, Twitter, and WordPress blogs on the go!

Viigo

A must have! This is my favorite RSS and news app for the BlackBerry! In a nutshell this app will keep you up to date on just about anything important to you that has an RSS feed. It neatly organizes information such as weather, sports, news, even Twitter and FriendFeed updates all within the same interface. RSS feeds can even be configured either on the device or through a web interface at Viigo.com. Tip: I find I get much better performance and battery life by keeping my feeds to a minimum. You could also create your own RSS feed mashup using a service such as Yahoo Pipes.

SocialScope

(Updated) There are a few Twitter clients available for the BlackBerry but none that quite compares to SocialScope! You can read more about this awesome app here:

WordPress (Mobile Version)

Now WordPress rocks even more! Add a blog. Enter your username and password and start blogging! Great if you want to add a quick post or edit an existing one. Though it is currently in beta it appears to be quite stable. Remember, it’s Wordpress!
